One of the worst things about becoming an author, is now that I've spent so much time perfecting the skills necessary to write, I've learned the difference between good and bad writing. Reading bad literature used to be a mere annoyance, and besides, it didn't seem to happen that often anyway. But now I've become a snob...an honest-to-goodness literary snob. I seldom find any novels that are well-written, and find truly wonderful novels even less frequently.
However, when I do find a novel that I enjoy so much that I can turn off that pesky internal editor and just relish the story, I feel like celebrating. I want to stand on the rooftops and shout, "This is a wonderful story and everyone should read it!!!"
Have you ever felt that way?
What have you read lately that made you want to tell all your friends?
